I met Jax a couple of years previous to her inviting me along to Tarka Pottery for a look around and to have a chat about their new website project.
Jax explained the problems with her current website and that she was wanting to simplify the bookings as it was very time-consuming.
It was apparent that she needed a website that was fully responsive and that could take bookings, sell gift vouchers and save her time. Plus the eCommerce side selling products online like pottery making kits.
Having researched different booking systems we went with Booking Hound an external system which we embedded into the experience pages. This has saved her about 15 hours per week she said.
Jax gave me a good outline of how she wanted the website to look and this is how the Napkin Brief was born. After I left I stopped at Macdonald’s where I actually drew out the website on their napkin.
As we build every page from scratch we have a blank canvas so we always tell clients to sketch out their own Napkin Brief of what they want on their home page too.

After full training on the new website, Jax can change content add new products etc herself.
