How a Momentum project unfolds
Momentum is built in four focused phases over four weeks, with the right thinking happening at the right moment, and you are involved when your input genuinely matters.
Here’s how a typical project moves from first conversation to live website.
Phase 1 — Discovery and content
Once you've signed on, we start with a 60-minute discovery session, a deeper dive than your initial call, focused on the business: who you serve, what's working, what isn't, and what the website needs to do for you. We then plan the content for each page together, what it needs to say, in what order, with what call to action. Before the design phase begins, we'll need everything in one go: copy, images, and branding. We'll send a clear checklist so nothing gets missed.
Your time commitment: a 60-minute discovery session, plus a few hours gathering or producing content.
Phase 2 — Design and build
Once your content is in, we begin designing and building the site. We start with the homepage, this is where the look and feel of the whole site is set. Once you've reviewed and approved it, we build the rest of the pages around it. You'll get weekly progress updates and a private link to a staging version of the site so you can see it coming together.
Your time commitment: 30-60 minutes a week reviewing progress.
Phase 3 — Review and refine
You get full hands-on access to the site. We encourage you to take time to click through everything, properly, on different devices, with fresh eyes. You send us your feedback in a single, organised email and we work through it methodically. A Zoom call is available if it's easier to talk something through than write it. One consolidated round of revisions is included.
Your time commitment: 1 to 2 hours of focused review.
Phase 4 — Launch and handover
Final tweaks made. Mobile responsiveness checked across devices. Hosting confirmed. Go-live date agreed. Once we launch, you'll receive a recorded training walkthrough so you feel confident updating your own content. From there, ongoing care is available via our hosting plan if you'd like us to stay involved.

Signature is a different scale of project: longer timeline, more pages, deeper strategic groundwork, and built for businesses with multiple service lines, distinct audiences, or more complex needs. If you’ve got a focused offer and a single audience, Momentum is almost certainly right for you. If you’re not sure, we’ll tell you honestly on the call.
What if my project needs longer than 4 weeks?
The 4-week timeline is honest for a typical Momentum project, but it depends on you as much as us. The biggest factor is content readiness, if your copy, images, and branding are slow to come together, the build pauses until they’re in. We’ll always be honest about where things stand. If your project genuinely needs more time or more scope than Momentum allows for, we’ll flag it on the discovery call and recommend the right path, usually Signature or a custom quote.
What happens after the website launches?
Launch is the start of how we work together, not the end. You’ll receive a recorded training walkthrough so you feel confident updating your own content. From there, most Momentum clients move onto our Green Hosting & Maintenance plan at £75/month, which covers ongoing updates, backups, security, performance, and the kind of small fixes and sense-checking that keep the site working long term. You’re not locked in. But you’re also not on your own.
Do I need to write all the content myself?
No. You can write it yourself, work with a copywriter, or share what you’ve got and we’ll help shape it. Content planning is part of Phase 1, we’ll guide you on what each page needs to say, in what order, and with what call to action. If you’d rather hand it off entirely, we can recommend trusted copywriters we work with regularly.
