Jonathan Hirons- On The Tip Of My Tongue
Jonathan came to us with a deeply important project, a documentary and awareness platform dedicated to aphasia, a condition that affects the language centre of the brain and one that had personally changed the course of his life. Funded through a charity, Jonathan needed a brand new WordPress website built from the ground up that could serve multiple audiences at once: people living with aphasia, their carers and families, and the healthcare professionals supporting them.
We built him a complete WordPress website that puts his podcast front and centre, alongside the documentary, personal stories, resources, and an ongoing blog, all organised in a clear, compassionate, and intuitive way. The result is a website that does justice to the weight and importance of the subject matter, while giving Jonathan a strong digital platform to grow the film’s reach, raise aphasia awareness, and connect with the people who need it most.
On the Tip of My Tongue is an aphasia awareness film and platform founded by Jonathan Hirons, who first experienced aphasia himself in 2019 during a London meeting suddenly unable to speak, write, or even recall his own phone number. Diagnosed with aphasia, a condition affecting the brain’s language centre, Jonathan channelled his experience into a documentary designed to change the way people understand and talk about this largely unknown condition.
The platform brings together the documentary, a podcast, personal stories from those living with aphasia, and dedicated resources for carers, families, and healthcare professionals. It is both a creative project and a vital awareness tool, one that has already moved speech and language therapists and carers alike and continues to grow its reach across the UK and beyond.
