It was great to work with Brenda at Apple Tree Farm plus it is based in North Devon and only a short drive from me, so when Brenda invited me out to the farm I jumped at the chance. It was so good getting the feel of the farm and all the different animals and the plans Brenda has. It was a fun day seeing all the animals and there are lots of different ones.
It was important to be able to link up with the local councils’ HAf programme so parents could book direct with the farm. I actually recommended an external booking area as I knew this would be best for Brenda. It was also important to be able to embed a timetable of activities.

About Apple Tree Farm
Apple Tree Farm Services CIC is a not-for-profit organisation set in the North Devon countryside. Children and young people are at the heart of the work done at the farm and listening to their needs drives the team’s desire to carry on.
The farm supports families, schools and organisations from Barnstaple, Bideford, Torrington and the surrounding areas and the team are always keen to engage with the local community and work together where possible.
It is the farm’s goal to provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment where individuals can flourish and blossom in the company of the animals. Structured, bespoke, nature-based activities are delivered to improve individuals’ lives, and session times and length vary to meet the needs of the individual.
